Custom Armor Creation 01

Ok I have not added anything to my design blog in a little while so I thought I should update some character progress I've been working on.  I put a temporary hold on the female character I've been working on to create a custom armor set to put into a game engine so Here are a few screens of the armor I've been working on.
I was always a big fan of the character design of "Army of Two" so I wanted to create my own version of similar armor that I can use in another game engine.  I'll be putting this character armor in the "Fallout New Vegas" game engine using the "G.E.C.K".

At this point I'm pretty much done the modeling part so I'll be moving on to poly painting.  I'll try to update more progress asap.

P.S If anyone is wondering what the triangle thing on his left shoulder is it's a bent road sign that is screwed into his armor piece so yeah...He's kind of a badass.

Female Character Progress 03

At this point I like to sketch in all the parts quickly in ZBrush to get a better idea of the general mass of the objects so I can use it as 3d reference while I'm creating each part in 3ds Studio max.

ps I do believe that I created the most uncomfortable metal thong ever LOL!!

Female Character Concept Sketch

Here is the quick concept sketch of the character to give a better understanding of where the pieces are located and a better understanding of the over all feel and look of the character.  I like to keep my concepts basic and open so that I have the freedom to change or edit the pieces at any time.  Obviously I wouldn't do this for a studio but because this is a personal project I HAVE THE POWER!!!!

Female Character Progress 02

At this stage I've smoothed out the model in ZBrush and adjusted the mesh to look more like a human rather than a clay monster.  I did not spend too much time on the feet because she will be wearing boots or the ears because her hair will be covering them.

The next step will be creating some of the clothing and accessories that the character will be wearing.

Female Character Progress 01

Here is what I'm currently working on.  It's a female game character that I started a few days ago.  I'm still in the sculpting stages so I'll update soon with some better looking renders of a more refined female model soon!

1. This is the ZSphere creation to create a basic mesh or palette to work on with decent proportions to work with.

2.This is the base character model brought back into ZBrush from 3d Studio Max after I edited the Typology to Quads and separated the UVW's for easier selection in ZBrush.

3. This is my basic anatomy sculpt using ZBrush, I'm just roughing in the basic Anatomy and curvature at this point in a very loose gesture like clay sculpt to get a feel for the character.
